From Florence to Padua: Spazio 3R’s Awards of the Month

Not one, but two awards were presented to Spazio 3R in just one week. The first was the Premio Luce! Startup Inclusiva, awarded by StartupItalia with Rekeep as Award Partner. The second was the Concorso Donna & Lavoro, organized by Eurointerim Spa – Employment Agency. From Florence to Padua, powerful emotions traveled with us across Italy.

Awards as a Moment to Celebrate Impact


When we first began applying for calls and competitions, we certainly did not expect such success. And we definitely did not expect to travel from Florence to Padua within the span of a single week. Receiving an award means recognizing the value of the work we carry out every day in our spaces, alongside women and within the community. It is also an opportunity to pause and reflect with pride on the smiles, the hours of training in our workshops, the women we have met, the challenges faced, and the relationships built. We carried these stories and emotions across Italy, first to Florence for the Premio Luce! Startup Inclusiva and then to Padua for the Concorso Donna & Lavoro.



An Award Celebrating Inclusion

“Spazio 3R has successfully combined environmental sustainability, social impact, entrepreneurship, personal growth, and job placement for Italian and foreign women in situations of vulnerability.” This was the motivation behind awarding us the Premio Luce! Startup Inclusiva, now in its third edition. The ceremony took place during the Festival Luce! in the magnificent Salone dei Cinquecento at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. The recognition will allow us to further expand our visibility and create new opportunities for growth. Chiara, President of Spazio 3R, shared these words while accepting the award: “Many women, through a tailoring training course, have fulfilled the dream of seeing themselves as women and professionals, not only as mothers and daughters. This award means giving new opportunities to other women.”

Spazio 3R also received first prize at the Concorso Donna & Lavoro, now in its thirteenth edition, which recognizes innovative women-led business ideas and entrepreneurial projects. “Restarting is our fourth ‘R’,” Chiara said during the award ceremony. “It was important to participate in a competition that brings together two powerful words: women and work. Over the years, many women have passed through our workshops, each with a different story. But one thing unites them all: discovering work as a source of freedom. Because having a job means being able to choose, independently, and being able to choose, for oneself.” At Spazio 3R, social sustainability intertwines with environmental sustainability. Recovering leftover materials becomes a message for everyone: even surplus fabric from an old collection can have a second life. And that is exactly what the women who come to us do: they give themselves a second chance as they begin again.
