On Monday, January 12, our Ascanio Sforza office hosted a group of students from the Business Master's program at Elon University (USA) for a special presentation given by Camilla Carrara, a zero-waste designer and founder of Zerobarracento (0/100). We have been collaborating with Camilla for some time on production of some of her pieces, but this afternoon was an important opportunity for us to open the doors of our workshop to international students, who are interested in seeing sustainability in action.

Building Value through Collaboration
The Elon University student visit began with a presentation by Camilla, founder and zero-waste designer of Zerobarracento, whose work perfectly aligns with our commitment to circular design and social responsibility. Responsibility, inclusivity, and material awareness are not just abstract principles, but concrete practices that shape our real-world applications. By making our spaces available for this lesson, we were able to demonstrate how collaborative environments can support emerging sustainable enterprises and encourage more open conversations about these disciplines. Camilla explained how "Spazio 3R attracted Zerobarracento through its model of humane, inclusive production," continuing by saying, "it aligns with our shared values of environmental responsibility, conscious design, and social equity."

Seeing the Workshop
Following the presentation, the students were taken on a tour of the Spazio 3R workshop. Walking through the places where the garments are designed, developed, and produced allowed them to see sustainability in practice, through the tools, materials, and people who work here every day.
This experience allowed the students, thanks to the testimonies of Camilla and Spazio 3R, to learn about realities that serve as a bridge between education and practice, offering them a tangible perspective on responsible fashion systems and conscious business decisions. “This type of presentation inspires the next generation to prioritize inclusivity and quality in fashion, amplifying the principles of the circular economy through education and mentoring,” Camilla emphasized.

Collective Action for a Greater Impact
Hosting moments of exchange like this is essential for us. Opening our labs to students, designers, and partners confirms that change is a collective action. Collaboration and shared experiences are the key to building a more inclusive and sustainable fashion world.
As stated by Camilla, this afternoon "highlighted the collaborative efforts towards sustainability, bringing together diverse stakeholders around responsible design and social impact."
Spazio 3R continues to be a place where sustainability is not only discussed, but also experienced, shared, and advanced together.
