WE Award - Women’s Excellence 2025: An Award for Women-Led Impact

After last month’s successes in Florence and Padua, our journey continued with another meaningful milestone. Spazio 3R received a prestigious award from II Sole 24 Ore during the Women at the Top Gala 2025, organized by II Sole 24 Ore in collaboration with the Financial Times, with media partnership from Ski TG24.

A Recognition of Female Enterpreneurship

“Spazio 3R is an ecosystem of social innovation that reinvents people, materials, and communities. It has shown that sustainability can be inclusive, creating opportunities for work and renewal for women in vulnerable situations by building a concrete bridge between craftsmanship, social impact, and responsible fashion,” said journalist Mariangela Pira while presenting the WE Award in the Social Economy category to Spazio 3R president, Chiara Ceretti. After receiving the Premio Luce! Inclusive Startup in Florence in October and winning first place at the Donna & Lavoro Competition in Padua, this time we competed on our own soil and returned to Milan. The ceremony took place in the stunning Giorgio Gaber Opera Theatre and brought together many women entrepreneurs.

Spazio 3R as a Guide for Change

Now in its third edition, this award sought to recognize female-led organizations and women who are driving change. One number was repeated several times throughout the evening: 135 – the years remaining to achieve gender equality. This event was not only about presenting awards, but a moment of shared unity and sisterhood. It stood as proof that there is a part of society acting concretely, every day, to break free from the cultural constraints we are living in. “At Spazio 3R, we want to leave this message: if we women unite, we can reduce the estimated 135 years needed to achieve gender equality. And that’s what we do every day in our workshops, together,” Chiara said on stage.

Like all the women honored and present in the room, we want to leave a positive mark as an example of a reality that is driving change. Our workshops, in addition to being places of work and training, are spaces where the future takes shape, stitch by stitch. We do this together everyday. Our strength lies precisely in unity and community involvement.
